free online table tennis tournament games
I just love playing table tennis tournament style games for free and then posting them online to see what all the hater and lovers of the game will say.
Making something quite ordinary public is fun for me. It is like pretending to own a ferrari, it's like buying and using tenergy when you are not a professional table tennis player. It is like who gives a?
In this video I played a tabletennisyoutube.com member at his house and recorded it for the first time. Unfortunately, the battery ran out and missed when I started using tenergy 25 fx on the forehand which I ended up enjoying more.
Having even this much video footage gives me some evidence to make some statements or give some tips to a member of the club here. The idea of table tennis youtube was that we could record our games and then give post match reflection constructively to non-hyper sensitive players who want to improve their game as in online video coaching. I am very happy to have the opportunity to do this with my buddy Edward (name given away since - you have obviously used it here on the site).
table tennis tips:
Do not serve long when the player shows the ability to loop kill with spin or speed more than 50% of the time.
Do not attempt to push topspin serves - or atleast try very hard to read that the server has not put enough action on the ball to create back spin (it requires a lot actually)
If a ball is given to you long - open up and try to kill it. who cares if you lose or win when we are just jamming it out at home? It is an opportunity to try new things and practise.
I always try to provide a table tennis tip or moral to the story kind of part to be illustrated by a table tennis video I post here at table tennis youtube.com. But I also love to use this site just to say how I feel a bit like facebook...
I love playing at Ed's place heaps and didn't play there today because I feel I am getting a bit old. Sob sob, my knees seem to start hurting after a few consecutive day's play, probably to do with the rainy weather, which also made me want to avoid the dreaded already too dangerous motorcycle taxis here in Pattaya.
It was not caught on this video but I actually preferred later on in this session when I twiddled my bat over to tenergy 25 fx on my forehand to get really sharp ripping attacks right off the bounce. The tenergy 05 started to feel a bit too spinny or dwelly and high throw for me over the table.
stay tune for the next installment of table tennis in "Arunotai stadium"

Great action!
Hi John, just saw yesterday's 'action' from my room. BTW by action I am talking about you! Anyway, today I put our practice into use today and had some encouraging play with Vincent. I was top spinning a lot of his serves if they fell at all long. I had one miracle game which included a couple of edges and a net plus the odd good shot and won that one 11-9! I was over the moon. Vincent won the other 20 or 30 games.
I thought my room looks a lot smaller on the vid than in real life.
Hope your batteries are soon recharged and we see you again soon.
Edward.
Today I was a mess, I wasn't
Today I was a mess, I wasn't thinking of playing actually as I thought I would just crash out on the bed till tomorrow. I do love playing so much that I went to play because I wanted to play even though I knew my body and mind didn't feel like it.
I had a big coffee after you called and I felt both tired and jittery. No alcohol as I am trying to cut down, so basically felt flat and tired after finishing work. For me to play well I need a few hours of just going for various shots until they all seem in line. Since we share the table with three, I always after a few forehand backhands say start up evem though I know that it will take me about 10 games or more to get into it. For me games a practise and if you put too much emphasis on winning them you will learn nothing. I prefer to lose and feel I tried something than win and feel like I just blocked and pushed you to win.
Lamp shade
Hi John, you were probably a little disappointed because you failed to replicate yesterday's shot of the day when you managed to hit the ball up and into the lampshade, and then it did about a hundred revolutions before dropping down. My ensuing topspin was a little tricky as I had never practiced such a shot before.
My desperation to win a set is maybe down to the fact that I lose 99.9% of games I play. I will gladly take any charity that comes my way.
On a more serious note I find table tennis a serious test of quick thinking and fast reactions. Plus some skill too. I LOVE it!
I hope you are not going tee-total on us!
Edward.

A lot of the time if you concentrate on taking the ball at the highest point of the bounce you don't need to topspin loop, instead you can get away with a decisive slap of the ball forward, be prepared for his counter drive but at least you have a chance to catch him off guard and get into a hitting rally which I believe is your strength.
